Is it possiable for my hair to be too soft for a twist out? It seems no matter how tight I do them they unravel. I have tried pinning then verticaly, horizontaly, rolling the ends rubber bands on the ends and then rolling, and they still some how unravel and get all puffy in the middle of them. Any Suggestions??.... I dont like gel or anything in my hair so thats out.

Do you do them while wet or dry?

Dry, They dont seem to look as good when I do em wet. They have more shine and movement when I do them dry. Well, except now.

Is your hair natural or relaxed? If your hair is relaxed, then the straightness of the strands is probably making it harder for the twists to stay twisted. If it's natural and you're still having trouble with unravelling, you may want to try using a dab of a putty/pomade on each twist for additional hold and maybe, in addition to that, tying the ends with a hairtie.

Just thought of something else. If the twists still don't hold after these suggestions, you could try a braid-out instead since braids don't require a tight texture to keep intact.
