Speaking of long hair and sports, it's great to see Mary Pierce has grown her hair out again. She had a great braid flying around during the French Open. She sure scrunches her face up when she plays. Hey comedians: Instead of commenting on how the link doesn't work, here's a fresh idea: Go to Yahoo. Click on News. Click on Photos. Type in Mary Pierce. Imagine what might pop up. Others give similar directions for GettyImages.com or WireImages.com all the time. I've just copied and pasted the link for the Mary Pierce braid photo a second time. It seems to work. I'm not a tennis fan in the least, but if I was, Mary Pierce's dramatic cut years ago would have curbed my interest. It was a yawner! The Women's tour direly needs femininity to maximize the sale of its product, and Mary apparently has gotten the message, thankfully.  Bob

Interesting that most of Martina Hingis' 5 Grand Slam titles came as a short hair. Maybe the long haired tennis players get too worried about ruffling their hair?
