which brand of shrnkies are you going to review?  cause there are a whole bunch out there... Some better than others.  SOme really awful, some fabulous.

It's kinda like saying 'we're gonna review a product called fruit'  if you only try the apples...

It's because you're a good person and you automatically assume the best about people. What boggles me is how someone, a known and acknowledged scamster/stalker, persists with the scams and bs where she KNOWS people are on to her! Must be a chemical imbalance there.

hmmmm, imagine that.....and should I guess which shrinkies will be reviewed? And should I wonder what the outcome of the review will be?

I have just had a look at that link and all the messages are from her company and someone else on there who are the moderator etc.  I suppose she has to promote her business somehow whatever it is she does.

Well, she makes it impossible to register, making it even more difficult to view the board. My already low interest level is now none.

Date Posted: June 07 2005 at 4:50pm

Syren, I didnt have any problem registering. It took me all of a minute to register. Hmmm dont know whats up with that.

I just wanted to get a fair review up on the site before any negative or unfair posts were made.(not that it WILL happen, but just in case!) Hopefully it will be a friendly forum.......

Yer, very friendly, since it's just SGB and another mod in there replying to each other. I think Sherrie is the ony real person who posts there.

Just a sample, for those of you who don't feel like registering, of the wonderful, insightful product reviews and informaiton available on that board:

"Wallace and Gromit and Sherrie 216 the hairdresser

"Hallo" said Wallace, as he entered the salon, and who was at the door, it was Sherrie 214, she was part of a very large family, " Is Sherrie216 in ? " " I will just find out for you " said the receptionist. Sherrie216 looked stuned " I did not think I would see you again " she said " I know said Wallace " Those details you gave me of where to find you were not much use, I found junction 24 on the map and junction 26, but I could not find 'in' junction, I know it was near the courthouse somewhere," " We are very busy today, and I haven't got time to cut your hair today Wallace, sorry " said Sherrie 216 " Listen Sherrie my little cherry, I dont want a haircut, its Gromit that wants your services " said Wallace, " Listen, one I am not your cherry and two,we do not cut dogs hair " said Sherrie216 " Well my cherie, Gromit doesn't want a haircut he wants extentions put in, you see we are going on a top secret mission to save the planet from almost certain extinction, risking life and limb at every corner, so we need to work undercover, and if you could put extentions on Gromit my faithful dog, he could be diguised as an afgan hound, can you help ?" said Wallace " I would love to help, but your dog is made of plasticine and will probably melt, so, no ! " replied Sherrie216. Gromits tail, stoped wagging and droped between his legs, " Lets go and wonder lonely as a cloud " said Wallace " Our deaths an almost certainty now, without that cunning disguise, good bye my cherie "
(post by Thon01- a moderator)

Not insulting, but not really comprehensible either.

-Rae

Edit: Oh yeah, and SGB is a mod there. Not touching that one with a 10-foot stick.

That is seriously incomprehensible.  And I don't even want to think about the SGB thing.

It definitely reminds me of the weird ass posts she put up here...

The saddest part is that I LOVE Wallace & Grommit! So much so that even the incomprehensible gibberish won't taint them in my eyes.

Alright, but seriously, what is up with the rabbit with the pancake on it's head?  (Think of the voice from Beverly Hills Cop  "it's the old banana in the tail-pipe trick...")

Oolong appears in times of chaos, mayhem, and dissention on the board. His wisdom - and his pancake - restore calm and order.

you know I'm looking at oolong now and thinking that's not just one pancake.  Or its one seriously funky pancake.  I think oolong has so much talent that he is in fact balancing two pancakes.

oh yeah....Oolong is definitely a talented little fella....thats 2 pancakes!

His talent went far beyond pancakes. Donuts, tea cakes, film canisters - nothing was impossible for Oolong:

hi

thanks for the information sherrie on shrinkies, someone has emailed me and said they will send some samples, so hopefully I will be able to install soon...

on a previous thread someone said that shrinkies have glue inside, do they all have this, or just some brands...

I will follow your advice on using a heat wand, and I think I'll use a silicone heat pad to roll the shrinkie a bit, as I don't fancy a flat bond somehow...

also Thon01 is a real sweety, and he is very amusing sometimes...

we are all very pleased you have joined our board, and look forward to lots more helpful input about hair extensions from all you experts...

Some companies are tyring to sell shrinkies that don't have glue.  But I doubt they will last too long since without the glue they don't work!

Posted By: sherrie215
Date Posted: June 10 2005 at 6:06pm

zephyr, from all the experiments that we have tried with different shrink tubing/shrinkies with and without the glue lining we have learned that the ones with NO glue just plain DONT WORK! But the very thin coating of adhesive inside a shrinkie is a minimal amount of glue and is a breeze to remove in comparison to the amount of glue with a fusion bond.

The only brand of shrink tubes without glue that Ive heard of that work are Mark Barrington shrink links. And Metalgirl would be able to tell you more about those.

I don't know if I would say the the MB shrink links don't have glue.  I'm not really sure what their composition is, as he likes to keep thier exact composition a secret.

I do know that they shrink down very well and still in the hair very well on most people.

thanks a lot Sherrie...

and all the other Hair Extension Experts on the board...

I am not sure what brands of shrinkies are being sent, so I will have to wait until they come...

One question?

If human hair has to be pre-bonded first, then this is with glue, so shouldn't that hold onto the heated shrinkie quite firmly when the heat wand presses down?

I believe I need to pre-bond before using to prevent shedding?

Hi Everyone

I have been invited by Karen Shelton the owner of this site to put right what has been going on at hair boutique.  I am the owner and sole administrator of Nails n Stuff and would like to make it clear to everyone that I do not in anyway support any inappropriate behaviour on my site.  I have set up my site to encourage and support people in the beauty and hair industries and personal issues between people on this board should not get in the way of enjoying my sites benefits.   My moderators have been an asset to my forum areas and I invite you to put personal issues behind you and concentrate on using our boards for what they are intended.  If you have issues with a posting in my site such as funny and eccentric Thon01’s postings you can always either laugh or start a thread of your own.  I do not know what went on with you all personally but all I can say is I have no involvement and neither does my site I own it and do not want it to have a bad reputation as it has always been developed for good intensions.  I have good positive editorial in many magazines and not everyone can be wrong.  My moderator has been a keen contributor to the hair forum having won a competition for a banner on my site and feel very unhappy that you should dismiss my site due to any personal disputes among members.

Regards
