Yeah does anyone know if long haired men(12+") are accepted in professional environments like HP, Micron, or any office job, if they keep their hair in a ponytail, or are most places is that unacceptable? Thanks

I work in a fairly conservative area, but I do see long-haired men on occasion. They frequently sport pony-tails.

Hi

in the UK, men with long hair are employed within a professional enviroment. The biggest problem that I could see is getting through the interveiw, purely due to steriotypes ( ie bikers in suits etc :) )

If I was looking for a job I would try to look as profession as possible , with a low haircut and a shaped up beard.

I'm a webdesigner working for one of the biggest online carparts retail store. Theyre cool with my hair (dreadlocked) for two years now. My boss also has a long hair... I guess it really depends on the working environment and how you do and finish your work.

Hai guys

I am also a long haired guy with hair length of around 32 inches. I sport long plaits or sometimes high buns. It depends upon your conviction and masculine nature to choose the length of the hair. I personally feel that length of the hair or style even for men is not relevant today. Most organisations are quite flexible on this. In fact i do have some issues on the length of my hair in my office - but these things can co-exist
