I know this has come up before, and I thought I remembered someone saying you can buy them at Sally's.  So I just called and they quoted me $50

I really need to get one to practice on soon ( I am doing a wedding party next month) and the dos they want are new to me

any suggestions on where to get them for not too much?

Thank you!

I thought that $50 was a bit high

$50! They sell them at the Sally's near me for $29. I knew each store had different inventory, but different prices? Sheesh.

There are different qualities too.  I think a good practice mannequin for updo's has better quality hair than one for haircuts.

I've been told a competition up-do head is about $125.  But I don't know for sure.  I bought the His-n-hers one ($29) last November to practice my pinchbraids and She's just fine.... Lovely really.  Not one complaint out of her.

I think you get the best wear out of these b%^&c's if you rinse really well with warm water once a week and condition.  Shampooing turns the hair to sh*te.  cheers

the haircutting heads hair is rubbish, its like a brillo pads hair :P

updo ones we use are quite pricey but the hairs just like the hair on your head.
