Hi ...err...im a little excited because i decided to transition. i was going to go to hair cuttery to get a buzz cut but all my friends freaked out when i told them. im tired of trying to get my hair into a good state and changing from no-lye to lye and then ALWAYS getting underprocessed hair, not even getting the new growth relaxed, or having the new growth revert after relaxing. i dont have th epatience for that and i personally think im a curly girl at heart. and i think ill be able to handle my natural hair easily than having both naturla and relaxed and then relaxing. do y'all understand what im trying to say? lol i think im blabbing. anyhoo, ill stop relaxing and cut off the ends which doesnt take much energy cos i always have my scissors handy. when them relaxed ends start misbehaving, ill chop them off without thinkign about it. wow, its 3 am and i need to go to bed. goodnight!!

Wow, going natural huh?  Was that a hard decision for you? I can't say I've ever thought about it, but I totally understand your frustration w/ relaxers, over/under proc., etc   I glanced @ your Fotki and looking at your pics from Jan to May, you've made lots of good progress. Your hair seemed to have gotten longer and thicker as well! Anyway, good luck on your transitioning and CONGRATS!

Congrats on deciding to become natural.  I feel you on the whole relaxer thing.  I grew mine out too cuz I got tired of all the breakage, and I wouldn't go back to one for the world.  What hair type do you have and how is the transitioning going so far?

I find it ironic that it's a bigger decision to stay natural than it is to put a relaxer in your head. It should be the other way around.

i guess you dont learn your lessons until you experience the downside of relaxing. relaxing works for some people but it doesnt work for me. and it wasnt a big decision for me to go natural. im not even rethinking my decision
