I have an event to go to the last of October; I need some advice to get my
hair healthier and longer by then. Can anyone give me some advice how
to get "there" by then. Thanx in advance.

What state is your hair in now? Please describe what problems your having so we can help, that's always the best place to start.

Also, what is your hair type and thickness?  How do you style it or want it to be styled?  Are you relaxed, natural or texturized?

One thing that always has my hair and nails growing in nicely (and slightly faster) is GNC's Ultra Nourish Hair.  It has biotion, msm, silica and most of all the other vitamins that you'll frequently hear are great for healthy hair and growth.  It costs around $17 for a 2 month supply :)

My hair has been quite dry lately .....especially the ends of my hair. I do moisturize them daily before pulling it back into a ponytail. I am not really sure if I want to trim my ends; they are quite raggedy. I do have some breakage..I would describe them better as little hairs that stick up when I pull my hair back. I have some vitamins, but I am not really sure if long hair and my skin breaking out as a result is "cute". I do not use heat on my hair unless I it has not gotten "straight" from letting it airdry.

after you moisturize your ends, try sealing them with an oil.  Then bun your ponytail for a protective style That helped me jumpstart my hair growth/retention.

Jojoba is good for the hair.

But seriously, your hair can grow a maximum of 2" between now and October. You can't repair any damage, only keep the healthy part from becoming damaged, so damage removal will result in you achieving less than 2" growth at best.

But on the bright side, this gives you 4 months to shop for a nice wig.

You can also try coconut oil, almond oil, carrot and olive oils.  There are so many oils out there

You have four months which is plenty of time to turn your hair around healthwise.  You might not be able to expect monumental length changes in that timeframe- but any added length is good length.  Especially when its healthy.
