So, I went to sally's to get a practice head and some cheap hair.I  know for a fact that I had seen that exact head in other sally's and online for like $30.But this sally's wanted $50! I couldnt believe they wanted that much more for teh same head.I bought it anyhow cause I have no patience. But has anyone else had this problem.Sally's is a chain afterall how can their prices be so inconsistent. Also the cashier asked me if I wanted to "buy" a discount card.I thought those were just for stylists and hair students?

nope anyone can buy a discount card

they changed that like maybe a year or two ago.

alternately the assumed since you were buying a head...

but When I got mine I think I was getting a hairbrush and smallish bottle of developer.

Yeah that makes sense mocha.I'm just irritated they charged $20 more for the same head..The hair is nice and thick on a much brighter note, lol.I can tell it hasnt been dyed either since it has grey hairs.

This sally's carries hair but believe me its like the lowest quality hair possible, lol. Its really cheap though so it makes good practice hair. They did recently start to carry freetress futura which is supposed to be a decent thermofibre. It cost more than the human hair they carry if that tells you anything, lol.

There are two Sally's within close proximity to me. One sells hair and one doesn't. The prices are different too. I can go to five different Dunkin Donuts nearby and they are all different prices also for the same cup of coffee. It depends on how affluent the town is, then they jack up the prices. It's not uncommon. Kind of like the housing market. Location, location, location!

As far as the Sally's futura hair goes, I have had some in for a few weeks and I'm really surprised how much I like it! No shedding, no tangling no problems! I even use my flat iron every day.

I posted this about a week ago http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=31640&KW=mannequin+head - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=31640 &KW=mannequin+head

I did end up buying the one at Sally's b/c I couldn't wait for shipping - but if you buy the discount card for $5 you get it for less and if your licensed you get it cheaper

I've noticed this also, most sallys are different and can vary in price big time depending on the location
