Has anyone received any emails from paypal stating that there has been "suspicious activity" on their accounts? I just received an email from them. They said unknown activity from Romania and Poland-unknown IP addresses were trying to purchase using my paypal account. I then went to their website, (not using their emails link) but typing in my paypal account and found nothing indicating any such activity. Anybody else?

Do NOT use their links. Those emails are SPOOFS trying to get your information. I was getting them for awhile, and then they finally stopped.

I get these all the time, and I don't even have a paypal account.

stay away from the email.  Mark it as spam so your filter will toss the next one.  Once you start getting these i find they never stop.

If you are worried about it, call Paypal on the phone and ask them.   I once received a strange email from them, and I called them to ask about it.  They confirmed that it was in fact a fradulent email.

I used to get these all the time, i sent the email to ebay and they confirmed they were spoofs.

Do that then change your passwords, but dont answer the email.

Luckily, I'm naturally mistrusting and didn't click on the link they provided.

Thanks girls for all the responses!

I probably get 3 a week either about my paypal or ebay account.   Some of them are pretty convincing so I finally installed ebays toolbar that will let you know if you go to a spoof sight.
