Hey everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. Okay I have a MAJOR problem. My beloved CON and Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo, won't lather anyone. At first I thought it was b/c it didn't have SLS or SLES, but then I noticed no one else had these problems. I then proceeded to clarify my hair, still no lather. When I first used both products the lather was GREAT, now nothing . What is the problem. I now have to pour LOTS of the product, just to produce a little bit of lather. Even when my hair is soaking wet it won't lather. It still detangles and softens like a dream, even with no lather, but it still bothers me, does anyone else have/had this problem?

BTW I find that if I was wash my hair over the sink, and wash my hair at the back working my way up it produces lather, then when I'm not washing over the sink.

Lather is not an indicator of whether a shampoo cleans well or not. They put foaming agents into certain cleaners because people are accustomed to having them foam and associate the foaming with the clean end result.

Notice hand dish detergent foams enormously, while dishwasher detergent foams not at all, but cleans extraordinarily well. They can't have machine dishwashing detergent foam, as it would fill the kitchen with bubbles, but it'll take the silverstone off nonstick pans.

Don't worry about the foaming, as long as it cleans properly.

Thanks for the info, I just thought it was weird that it lathered the first couple of weeks, then stopped. Thanks for the clarification.

I had the same problem with con.  Just shampoo, rinse and repeat.  The second time lathers just fine.

I had this same problem before when I used both products. Now I don't use shampoo at all.  I just use conditioner.

I get a lot more lather when I dilute my shampoo. I've never used any of those shampoos though.

Okay, I tried CON this week, and I shook up the bottle cause it was about 1/4 full, so anyway it lathered and all, the only problem is that I realized that  CON made my scalp itchy, so I will not use that again. I never noticed before, but when I think back my hair was kind of itchy in the crown area after using CON. So I used EQP, it is okay, it still doesn't lather, but it does clean and make my hair shiny, so that one will be a keeper.
