And I know some of the rest of you did as well.  So tell me all about it.  Is it therm?  Or somewhere between monofibre and therm?  Does it feel nice?  Do you love it?  have you actually installed any?  Throw me a bone here.

Got it and then immediately traded it for something else.

There was the smallest amount (think the amount that would make
one single strand) that had bunched up on the sides and it had pulled
out of the band. I took that and played with it with a curling iron and
it responded just any other thermofibre I've tried.

It would only curl with a curling iron while damp. It did not singe or
crisp at all when a hot iron went to it dry. I held it for the longest
time on the highest heat setting and there was no damage to the hair
at all. Very impressive.

To me, Powerlon looks just like PH straight. It rubs between my
fingers with the same feel and texture as well.

mocha??? I would never exploit my child. Many members have posted pictures of their children here, so how would a head shot of hair be exploitation? Its not like she is a 3 year old, shes soon to be 16. Just curious about the 'exploitation' comment.

I'm sure no disrespect was intended.

Exploitation probably wasn't the best word choice here.

hmm im not sure if powerlon will work as pretipps

since the fibre doesnt heat seal very well
and i think its a waste of time using any glue for it.
the hair is very thin and slippery ....

has anyone ever tried to tipp powerlon?

Well I didnt really take offense to the comment, but didnt quite understand it.....was a bit baffled ( with the past few days Ive had, Im lucky to be able to sort out anything in my head, its been a hard and MAJOR stressful week )

Sara....remember, the pretipping QUEENS are right here on this board, Im sure the powerlon pretipping can be accomplished!

No Sherrie.  I didn't mean anything by it.  I thought she was a little younger than that for one.  exploitation is a strong word.  Sorry.  You can't hear my tone of voice over the net.  It was more in a joking tone of voice.  Cause I'd like to see the pics.  Who are we kidding.  I like all the pics.

As to the powerlon. If it really feels as nice as PH normally does that's great.  Hope it wears as well.  Not like the wawa that gets so yucky on the ends when yo've been wearing it a while.

Maybe one of those crazy hot ceramic irons would get hot enough to melt it?

heya sherrie

yeah i hope so : )

i think we just start with the standart colours and then
try to find a solution for the powerlon!
i guess im going to send you free powerlon samples soon
and you can try to find something to match?!?

mocha..hmm not really i have a very high tech sealing tool
wich you can heat up till 800degrees..
but powerlon doesnt melt very well..
nothing really happens or on the other side the fibre burn an gets frizzly

hmm what i dont like about "regular" thermofibre is that the single
hairs are so thick, like horsehair : /

ahh no worries! WERE THE HAIRSCIENTISTS!

hehe ; )

Yup--I got my Powerlon ages ago, and I've been slacking over here in a big way. I'll be testing it this week, along with a few other fibers, and will post my findings on Thursday or Friday. Sorry about the delay, girls!
