These are the velvet covered rollers that everyone has been talking about that are suitable for ph.  I paid £17.00 so you can have them for that chick x

I have those exact ones! Those are the 'vintage' rollers that get REALLY HOT as opposed to the newfangled rollers that only get wimpy hot.

A PH wearing person really should get these! They curl PH better than anything.

OK, just thought Amanda had run of with them.
Can you tell me how much W your curlers are? I need to know if my stepdown converter can be used with them.

Thanks .

They have a two pin plug.  I got them from America.  They are 300 w, 120 v and 60hz xxx

My converter goes to 90W, and an converter beyond this will cost me more than $350.

I must try to find this from somwhere else outside of the states.

EDIT: wait a minute. I just saw that you are in UK. Where did you buy your converter, and how much was it?

As an idea for anyone having trouble finding a set, I got mine from a  thrift store for 3 dollars. They were missing the pins, but (should you encounter that) you can get replacements at some BSS's or use the big cheap jaw clips made for curlers that all BSS's have, or keep an eye out at another thrift shop! I got one of my steamers at a thrift store for a buck fifty, too. And I almost got a dryer bonnet for 5 bucks - didn't have cash on me and missed it - plus I saw an awesome blow dryer shaped like a duck - a duck! - one time for two dollars and only passed on it 'cause I'm running out of room! lol.
