Do you find that your hair grows faster when you wash more often? Say every other day versus bi-weekly. Anyone notice a difference? Do you co-wash or shampoo?

Washing your hair with conditioner just as IF it was shampoo(can be moisturizing) instead of using shampoo (can be drying).

I've just started washing more than once per week, so I will have to take notice to see if this happens for me as well.

OT- But I have a friend who swears the longer she goes without washing her hair, the more it grows.

yeah i guess not washing frequently works for some people. and the key is not washing with shampoo everyday......

i wish i could co wash everyday but to do this you need alot of patience....i dont have that, not with my hair...so i co wash weekly. but i remember when i didnt wash my hair frequently it still grew up to my waist. but heres the thing it was unhealthy as hell. full of damaged and split ends i had to cut atleast 3inches. so now that I do wash more often my hair is growing in a healthy manner. so the point is in my case regardless of how often i wash my hair it still grew but the difference is in health of growth.

I heard from some ladies also that daily washing has contributed a lot to their hair growth. Is it just the constant moisture to the hair??? What causes the actual growth? Daily washing for me is just doing tooo much! The most I can do is 2x per week (unless I just have to)which works well for me. What about spritzing the hair/roots lightly w/ water daily. Do you think you'd get the same benefit??

when i spritz my hair with water....my scalp doesnt feel as clean...its just....weird. I think its the consistent moisture that aids the growth. moisture means no dryness and no dryness means no breakage which means the hair is not damaged...

I think the constant washing always contributes to hair growth because the products you put on your hair doesn't have enough to to bulid up and clog the pores in your scalp.

Renee-You and I have the same regimen.  I will use the shampoo once a week from now on too. I was wondering what shampoo bar you use? I use Dudu-Osun (I think that's the name). Shea butter is the 1st ingredient and it's all natural.
