| Hello,Im new here and Im thinking about putting a few highlights in my ashblonde hair.I used to do it when I was younger and I liked it alot.I used the plastic cap ones and I just didnt like it.Then I used the aluminium foil,which worked alot better,but now I hear you shouldnt use it.WHY?I see it being used in salons alot.Is there a difference in color when using foil?Is the foil bad for my hair?What are your experiences and some pros/cons about the foil/cap?I would really appreciate your help.Thanks! |

I haven't heard anything bad about foil highlighting. As you said the results are very different when using a cap and foil. If you like the foil effect better than use that  Ive used both and will keep using foil whenever I want to highlight. I love ash hair with blond highlights, it looks so natural. |
