Hi. :) I currently have straight hair about 4 inches past my shoulders. I've never really done anything to it (ie; curling or dying), but I'd like to try out a 'wavy' look (not permanent though, something that'll go away when I wash it). I have a few pictures of what I'm interested. And I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject, but is that considered curling? Ie; would a curling iron or rollers be used to achieve the look, or is it something completely different? Any help would be greatly appreciated -- thanks. ^_^

[And if this should be in the curly hair section, please feel free to move it - I wasn't sure where to put it :P]

Im not an expert at curling hair but I know that the looks you want are accevable by using curling irons or just putting smaller rolls in. In brittneys pic you want tight curls (curlingiron), marissa loose curls, iron or rollers. When you try this and if they turn out to curly you just adjust by using water or products. To get the curls to hold I would use mousse and just a bit of hairspray. Im no expert as I said but I like playing with my hair

Use a crimping iron.

Looking to go wavy? I think you need sock curling!  It's damage-free and heat-free, and you don't need an iron.

Just platting your hair when its wet and leave it to dry should do the trick aswell...
