Hello everyone,
Simply for the purpose of fun, I thought a poll would be interesting on this particular board. I searched the board for a similar poll but did not find one. Mods, if you are aware of one, please feel free to let me know and I will / you can delete this one.
Typically, most long hair is worn by those in the 20-25 age group, but there are always those like mself who aren't heading for the scissors any time soon.

And I am, hmm, let's see...26? (har har) Just kidding. I'll vote when the screen refreshes from posting.

I'm Male and 29.
My hair has been growing off and on since a short cut in 1994 that was
3" long. By off and on I mean there were a few years when I got
frequent trims and didn't really gain length and might have gone a tad
shorter but it was still below my shoulders. I'm currently at least
30.5"

Dave, correct me if I am mistaken, but are the polls not designed to accept anonymous poll voting? In other words, you have to be a member and logged in to vote, but there is not a way to find out who voted, correct?
Come on folks, your secret is safe with us. You don't even have to post to take the poll. Only a tiny percentage of those viewing are voting, unless all five of us have viewed this thread five times. LOL!

32 here. I think in the general public you'd find that most
people with long hair are in their late teens and early twenties.
Since this is a long hair forum and I'm sure most people here think the
feeling that "You have to cut your hair when you get older" is garbage,
the age is higher. Should be interesting to see the results.

I'm a couple months away from 34. I've been a shortie for quite a few years, and experimental yo-yoing with my hair length since I was about 13 - the last time my hair was truly long.
Now I'm really concentrating on reaching elbow-waist length (only 18 inches to go ) because I don't want to move to the inevitable permed Qtip look (no offense, Mom). I think somebody in another thread called it "aging gracefully"...

Debbie, oh, no need to delete you, we're glad you popped into the board.

I´m 38. I had to be 35 to even get the patience to grow it this long (36 inches today!).
My personal opinion is that all the infinate possibilities of long hair are usually better governed by the more mature, older men and women...

I'm 32, but I always forget how old I am! Really, I'm not just being vain about it...I actually have to work it out from the year I was born. I must have a mental block or denial or something. I have a bit of a baby face, but I'm married to a 40+ man, so he ages me I think!!! hehehehe Anyway, I want to grow my hair really long and I'm thinking it should be pretty decent by the time I'm 35 and that seems very young to me still. I heard recently that 40 is like the new 30 and I have to agree that I still feel like I'm growing up and those 40+ ppl are so much wiser and better adjusted than me

Actucally more like you turn 16 during your sophomore year , since most people graduate when they are 18. But I am going to when I am 17 since my b-day is september and my mom didn't want to wait till next year to put me in school since I would be a year older then everybody. So I went into Kindergraden when I was 4, most kids do when they are 5.

The US system is complicated
Yeah, I'm from the UK. here you start secondary school (high school?)
age 11-12 (Y7) and go up to Y11 and then all kind of stuff happens with
sixth forms etc. graduation is when you leave secondary school right? I
think I'm going to give up trying to understand the system Sorry for going off topic everyone.

yeah...I have no idea what all that secondary school stuff is about. Here you go to grade school (kindergarden-6th grade), then Junior High or called Middle School (7th-8th), then High School (9th-12th) then you graduate and maybe go to college (hopefully for me!) Sorry to get off topic to! I really want to go to Europe though, so this info helped about the schools there, thanks!
