Hey, i'm new to these forums. Anyway, i'm trying to get this hairstyle and need advice on how. Here's the pic:  I'm an asian dude, but since i got my hair chemically straightened and softened, i'm pretty sure it'll be the same for me and white folks. My hair is about three/three and a half inches in the front and a inch and a half on the sides (sorry, my camera's broken). So how much growth would i need, would i need a special cut or not, and what kind of products would i need for texture/definition (if any?). And also, what kind of partings would this hairstyle require (if any?). |

cant tell from that pic, but it doesnt LOOK like there's any special
partings. That is sorta like an "emo" hairstyle. I am sorta growing
mine like that. I have my part cut above the outside of my left
eyebrow. Everything on the left side and back is really short (#3 on
side, #2 in back) and then i just comb my long hair over the right side
of my face like he is doing. When it gets longer (1.5" more) im
chemically straightening it. You'll have to grow your hair as long as that pic shows, becuz his hair is straight and it shows how long. My advice, save this pic, and others like it, and when your hair is appropriate length, take it to the stylist and show em. only bad thing is waiting out for your hair to grow. I need to wait 3 months on mine still :(... Hope it turns out for you! |

how long is u guys hair? those bangs could take a few months to grow i agree.. but the sides look long..they could take a long long long while trust me sides take for ever |

my front is a bit past my nose when pulled straight, and the right side is 1/2" below top of my ear.. then the rest is short. that's why i say, in another 2 or 3 months, it'll be a good length for me to get my hair relaxed :) |
