I'm about a third of the way done iwth takedown.  WIll leave it like this for a few days then all out and nes install.

I lost 4 in my first two weeks.  then none, then about 15? in the last 10 days, after I went wild with conditioner one day.  All of the ones I lost I could see how I hadn't sealed them adequately.  I think I'll have to hold the clamp on a little longer in the future to get a more consistent result.

They are coming out not because they are problematic but they are grown out enough i don't think they will look nice for the wedding I am going to (I'm sure my pic will get taken) next weekend.  ANd when I say grown out since it was a whole head thing i mean the ones on my hair line and on top where they are exposed.  not that the bulk were slipping.

All in all, I rate this method shockingly easy.  definitely easier than picking out string and then it breaking when you tie it off in PB's.  That was a big surprise for me.

Now on to looking up Sherries snadwich method so I can put some wefts super high in my next install.

I just tried experimenting with pinchbraids on my doll head. I totally agree with how easy it was although time consuming. I used Rae's tutorial as a guide. I'm going to do the sides of my head tomorrow. I'm not sure yet how to heat seal, but I'll be reading up on that. After I cut the string on the pinchbraid, I used a fusion tip to make the hold tighter. Just for sh*ts and giggles. I think I might like this method for the sides of my head and bottom row.
