I've been lurking on these boards for a couple of months.  Can anyone tell me if you've tried Atone products.  What did you think?

Another question:  What product do you use when you flat iron so that you don't fry your hair.  I bought a ceramic flat iron, but have been hesitant about using it out of fear of hair loss and further damage.  I've had to learn the hard about damage.    Last year, I used a product by Kenra to get curls that hold and between that one and another that I tried, I created even more damage over several months.  My ends became dry and split and my hair started to break immensely.  I have since stopped using that product and the shedding has stopped as I no longer see gobs of hair in my comb thanks to the tips I've learned on this board.  But it was nevertheless, unbelievable that had that much breakage -- most in the back.  I think it's beginning to grow back, but ever so slowly.  I'm hoping to turn this nightmare around in the next several months, but I don't know if my hair will grow that fast.

I use AtOne Botanical Reconstructor Conditioner with Moisturefuse and I LOVE IT.  I mix it with Creme of NAture Conditioner and these two together are my staple conditioner.  That stuff detangles like a dream and leaves your hair very soft and supple.  The CON doesn't work well for me without the AtOne.

I've also heard rave reviews about their leave in conditioner, but I have not been able to find it yet where I live  A good hair buddy of mine swears by it.

For flatironing, I blowdry a mix of ORS olive oil, lottabody and Salerm21 into my hair for heat protection. Works great for me

Where can Lottabody and Salerm21 be found?  Is ORS olive oil just plain olive oil.

You can get lottabody from any beauty supply store, Sally's and even WalMart I think.  Some beauty supplies carry Salerm (a Dominican product), but I am not aware of any down south where I live so I order mine online from either http://www.sickbay.biz - www.sickbay.biz or http://www.metrobeauty.com - www.metrobeauty.com .  ORS olive oil is Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil...its a creme-like water based moisturizer and heat protectant that really gets the job done.  Definitely a staple for me.  http://www.organicrootstimulator.com/products/oliveoil.htm - http://www.organicrootstimulator.com/products/oliveoil.htm
