Hi. I bleached my hair blonde a year ago and although I liked it, it was very brassy and not really the shade I wanted.

I want to go blonde again but not make the same mistake - however I can't afford to go to a salon. But if I want a decent, natural looking colour do I need highlights as well?

My hair is light brown but I've used a lot of colour on it in the past and I know this will probably affect how it ends up.

Any advice?

Cheers

If you want something more natural.I'd say get back to back highlights.Since your hair is light brown it should be fairly easy to do.And as long as the hairdresser doesnt overlap it should not be so hard on your hair. You can get the look of platinum if they are done right.
