Has anyone used I-tips from His and Hers with shrinkies? Do you have to coat them with nail glue? I've got a rush job and totally don't feel like pre-tipping ever again!!!! I haven't gone through the rigamarole with extensions plus and just want reliable plug or stick hair fast.. Any suggestions??????

They say to heat with iron so I am going to say they are keratin tipped. Some here have used keratin to tip for shrinks with out glue and said that Amm's remover got it off.Do a test or coat with nail glue. I hope they are small for pro tubes one of my clients wants to try them instead of EP because it's cheaper.

Ask them how many strands it would take to equal 100 grams in
weight.
Stick hair can be bought in bulk overseas in three different
thicknesses; thin, medium, thick.
Thin borders on ridiculous. You'd need 400-600 strands or so to do a
decent full head install and then sometimes adding two inside a ring
or shrinkie. Since they sell them in a 10-pack, that can be spendy for
mediocre hair.
Before buying stick (or nail hair for that matter), drop the company
an inquiry as to how much a 10-pack weighs and what kind of hair
they're using.

I use the i-tip hair from hisandher alot and it works out great with shrinkies. I like it b/c it's not too expensive and the seems to be in good condition. I also use the shrinkies with it and I just make sure that I have plenty of their natural hair in the shrinkie when I insert the i-tip. Then heat, roll, and bravo, you're done!!! I hope it works out for you!!!

Shoot, I forgot to say that I don't put nail glue on any of it. I don't have time for that mess, and it's been fine!!!

I've never had Hairlocs tips, I-tips or hairpiece.com tips transfer anything under a shrinkie that I can tell. If anything does melt, the amount is so small that it's negligible.
But remember this - you get some painfully thin strands from these places...
Here's 10 tips and they weigh only 4 grams.
Considering a full head install is from 7 - 10 oz, you'd need 25 packs of hair just to equal 100 grams. You'd need about 75 packs just to do a head. That's $750 + shipping AND 750 individual strands to deal with. You can double them up per ring or fusion glop or triple them up per shrinkie but that's some damn expensive hair.

Wow Amm you must have some MASSIVE big hair! I rarely use over 6 oz hair. But then again most of my installs are 18 inch hair.
Did you weigh any of those pretipps I sent to you? Im curious of the weight...

7-10 is too much? I thought installs were more than one pack but less than two? No? OK, I likes me the big hair then.
Here's the weights:
Cinderella nail 25 strands = 31 grams
John's nail 25 strands = 15 grams
John's stick 10 strands = 4 grams

Thanks Amm, good to know. Its late and I cant do my math but they are supposed to be 100 gram packages. (10 bundles per package of what I sent to you.) sound right?
Wow Cinderella hair is nice size huh! And, those tips from John are not the thick size, they were med. and stick may have been med or thin??
7-10 oz ....no way not too much! Not for the long lengths that you do. Mine are usually 18 inch, so I dont need as much by weight. But I really like the length of this RK install and most positively want to go this long again!

Crapola, just did another install this evening. I'd love to have the client pay for some friggin fabuloso stick hair, instead of me ordering plastikhaar (cheap), dealing with shipping (expensive), souping my drawers wondering if the hair will make it through customs in time, spending an hour blending, and I am a big old TARD, but it takes me 6 hours to blend and pre-tip the way I like it to look. I want each stick to have a layered look. I'm such a walking anus I'm working myself out of business. Sorry to bloat out.... at about 9:30 my boy was crying, my mother couldn't work the microwave, my husband was asking my client where she got her breasts done, before she brought the topic up herself..... and I was like...... Calgon, take everybody away so I can finish this head!!!! Ahem.

Okay, give, what's a roostertail??? I served Margaritas of course. Although I've thought better of it since the heads get loose and sort of Stevie Wonderish after the second one.
Ok. Duh, figured it out this morning.....argh

Is it the shot Im thinking of amm? One shot orange juice, one shot tomato juice and one shot tequila? I used to serve TONS of those at the last place I worked. Sounds gross, just they were a big favorite among the guys!
