Two weeks ago I bought a ceramic flat iron, the babyliss pro. The first time I used it, it worked awesome...my hair was stick straight and very soft + shiny (it is usually a bit wavy + frizzy). The last few days I have noticed my hair seems dryer around the ends compared to before I started using this flat iron. I am not sure if it is the flat iron that is doing this to my hair, or if I need to buy a different hair protectant spray than the one I have now. I currently use Biolage Thermal-Active Setting Spray (by the company Matric) which is what the lady at the beauty supply store recommended to me.

Has anyone else had problems with the babyliss pro flat iron making their hair feeling dry and not as soft? Or can anyone recommend other products that would keep my hair soft and shiny?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Flat irons, like any kind of heat, will evaporate the moisture in your hair. Always. This can only be helped by using less heat styling, using moisturizing products, using moisture treatments such as deep oil treatments, or changing your washing routine. Mine did the same thing, when I first straighten it. So I went out and bought neutrogena triple mostiure and shine serum. It helps dry hair like whoa.

Hey, Thanks for the help!
Lately my hair has been soft and shiny. I haven't really done anything different, just making sure i put a little more heta protectant spray.
Thanks to everyone who helped!
