Okay so I started doing my hair and a million errands at 8:30 this morning.

I now have an altered dress, a dog in a kennel, travel size everything, and newhair.

This is my first HH install.  This is FinaFina hair.  I bleached it sligtly, 5 minutes with ~10 vol developer and powder bleach.  Then two conditioning treatments. I have little to compare it to, but I like it so far. (not smell at all anymore marie 87).

My hair has a few spots that won't hold color right now so don't judge the color match on that but on my hair at the top.

the before's are 3 installs old i think I took them in march.  So my hair is ~2 inches longer but I haven't cut it since then.

What I want to know is should I go higher for the blend?  There's only like three ounces of hair on my head right now.  But I htink it looks surprisingly good.

Let me know if I should put in more hair.  and what you think of the color/texture match

Awsome job and NO I don't think you need any more hair. (my opinion) It looks natural and the color is great! What type of install did you do? PB? Beautiful job! (I'm still trying to figure out how to get pics of the back of my head!

Wow mocha I think it looks really good. You could probably get away with it just as it is, Hard to believe thats only 3 oz. of hair. I would probably go another row higher for blending, but yours looks like it blends really well. What install method did you use?

onward to one more row.  At least I got another load of laundry done while my hands were free.

I did malaysian lock, used Docs xs rings to make the tracks.  My sewing on my own head skills are wayyyy better than they were last time I tried that.  and these wefts are so thin.  No bulkliness on my head.

It's just shy of one full weft of Fina Fina hair. I didn't weigh it but that should be 3 oz.

Maybe i should go ahead and color the other weft in case I get to Calgary and decide I need more hair...

Gina posted it as a weft aplication methid a few months ago.  You use microrings/links/extentubes to make a track and then sew sew sew

Whoa, Mocha! That's Fina Indian hair?! That is gorgeous!! Thick and wavy and beautiful! I like the streaky thing you've done - beautiful. And the install - what's up with that? It's invisible! Really - way to go! It's gorgeous and you've done a great job.

Only suggestion might be to put some feathering or layering in the front around your face. Makes it a little less 'hippy chick,' which is not a bad thing, but it is a look. Then again, you work at a university where Hippy Chick still lives and reigns so you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. But it would look pretty around your face.

Looks very natural and I also think you did a great job.  Your FinaFina hair has a wave to it and mine does not???  My fina hair is very silky and straight - like asian hair.  I wonder if they sent Fina differnt kinds of hair or it's just me and the kind of conditioner I use.

Thanks all

Syren - especially since i have layers around my face in my natural hair I'm putting them in now that I have the additional weft in.  I just like to have all the hair in place for sure before I start hacking.  Funny about the streaks.  Its due to how the hair came up.  I dumped all of it in the same bleach and some of the strands came up lighter than others int he same weft.  as to my own hair.  I have to learn restraint.  I'm doing better but sometimes i just start chemically processing and then I pay the price forever with ahir that feels fine but won't hold color and has a different wave and...

Kimbearly.  Mine was far straighter (though not pin straight) before I got it wet (to color). What you see is air dried but freshly brushed so it sits a little poofier once I move around for 10 minutes or so.  Not as curly as the hair in your avatar but maybe splitting the difference.

I'm a little concerend about styling this in the morning especially with it being vacation, and therefore weird water.  I'm taking only a paddle brush, looper brush, wdie tooth comb, and curling iron with me.  I just can't haul all my tools so I had to pare it down to must haves.

Hopefully I'll get some good pics with my clip in streaks and what not over vacation and will  post them whenever (don't know what my internet situation will be).

ugghh I'm not quite packed but my alarm will go off in 2.5 hours.
