I wanna know this too, because I saw someone's album (can't remember who), and she did a rollerset on her natural hair and it came out so straight and smooth. Dangit, if I could just remember who...

When I do rollersets I use Lottabody (diluted) so my hair won't be too crispy and a small amount of creme moisturizer...I use Africa's Best carrot creme for this or you can use whatever you choose.  The key to a smooth rollerset on natural hair is to make sure the section of hair you are getting ready to roll is combed very smooth with no tangles.  The best thing to use is a fine tooth comb, (I use a rattail comb).  Take the section of hair, smooth the ends down flat onto the roller and roll all the way to the roots and secure.  Stretch the hair firmly as you roll to keep the curls down. If you have trouble keeping your ends smooth try wrapping end papers around them.  HTH

If it's coming out frizzy then you might be taking sections that are too big. Make sure the sections are not wider than the diameter of the roller. Although I maybe using the wrong technique. Cuz whenever I do a roller set my hair ends up in big curls and not straight..

Do you use a straightening iron or blowdry it afterwards? Or use a different technique?

After setting do you air dry, blow dry (with hair still in rollers) or sit under a dryer to make sure it sets properly, I know if it does not dry right it can come out frizzy?

I sit under hooded dryer.
