ok yall. since my last post, i have used loreal color pulse in red
pulse on my hair. it is now a dark burgandy wine color with fire engine
red highlights. well, my manager at work (i work at starbucks) has told
me i need to change my hair color to a more natural color. so, i know i
need to use colorfix to get rid of this red. ive never used color fix
before. imm sure the application will be fine, i just need to know
where to expect my hair to be in the color chart. are we talkin orange?
and then after i get to whatever stage i get too, what would i use to
get it to a warm medium brown? sorry i seem to have so much hair drama,
but i really do need advice.

right well i decided to try and bleach my hair and that didn't work it went ornage, so i think what you need to do is actually go to the hairdressers, they will probably strip your hair and then put a red pigment in it and then put a natural shade on top, hope i helped ------------- "The Devil got landed with a sh*tty job, he has to deal with assholes everyday, he's probably bored as hell." - Gerard Way |

loreal color pulse is a semi perm hair color, so try to wash it out with dish soap. doing this will not damage your hair at all. if that does not work color fix is not required, because color fix is for perm dye's what you have is semi perm. so you need a semi perm color remover like uncolor (at sally's), after applying the uncolor you just simply apply a filler and the color you want. o yeah the uncolor will make you the color you were before you used the color pulse, and will do no real damage it will just make your hair a little dry. ------------- fyi I know my spelling sux! |

FabulousHairExt is absolutely right. ColorFix is not designed to
work on a product like L'Oreal Color Pulse. Was your hair heavily
processed/porous beforehand? If so, the Color Pulse might be a
little harder to remove. If not, a few rounds of strong shampoo
should noticeably fade the color. If several shampoos don't help enough, try a either a remover designed for semi-permanent color, or put an ash brown semi dye over it to give you something in the range of natural hair color. |

thanks for your replys. the girl behind the counter at sallys said that the color fix will remove the semi perms. (idk how right she is, i tend to trust you gals more than them. after all it was on her assurances that i would not fry my hair off with the relaxer, that i ended up frying off my hair.) after my manager told me that i had to have natural color, my first instinct was to shampoo several times with head and shoulders. i ended up shampooing five times with the h&s, and the color has faded alot. my hair was heavily porous from repeated dyeings (ik, bad for the hair, but it feels softer now than it ever has), so i think the color pulse might have acted more like a perm (kinda like demi perms do) so im gonna give color fix a try. ive already bought the stuff. wish i had read these earlier, and i would have picked up uncolor instead. ill just have to give it a go, and see how it comes out. ive got wella color charm demi perm in 6n dark natural blonde to put over it, as my hair under the demi burgandy is bleached, and it will go darker. ill update tomorrow after i finish processing.  thanks you gals for all of your help.
