i've tried a few "thermal protectant" protectants since i've been wearing straight styles..i needed something that would not only protect, but a good holding spray as well.  i have flat ironed with Ion protectant which is great, and did curling iron and spritzed each section with Paul Mitchell's freeze...the curls would last for a while, but not long, and i was having rashes from the Freeze hair spray..

I also tried flat iron, with Ion protectant, and a foam roller set (overnight) with the Freeze..curls were "stiff", and drooped quickly..

I decided to use mizani heat protectant/leave-in conditioning holding spray. It's great! i did the foam roller thing overnight..my curls were tight at first, but not stiff...and they loosened up a bit, but not much - even after a serious workout...driving around, etc...

I've tried using it as a holding spray..nope, it doesn't work very well without heat...but the elasticity of my hair is incredible..Mizani has this "memory" in it, so that the hair goes right back to the curl pattern..and my hair is soft to the touch..my curls are still loosening up - but no where near as quickly as they have with the other product.

i just found out, Mizani is a product of  Loreal..
