I am trying to decided if I should go long to short in one sitting. I know if I do go short it is gone. Has anybody gone from long to short in one sitting? Has any donated their hair to the Lock of Love? My hair is to my butt. I know it will be a long time for it to grow back to where it is now. I need a change and I am starting with my hair.

Cut off little by little gradually....that way if you cut a little and odn't like it....you won't have to wait 2 years to get back what you did.

As far as locks of love....i'm a bit leary about them...I've heard so many bad things.

If you're the type who loves long hair, take it gradually, or you're likely to freak out and regret it.  If you're the type who's always wanted short hair, but never felt like you could before, do it all at once-- if you do it too slowly, you're likely to get frustrated.

I've never donated to LoL or anything, but they don't bother me.  No, they don't make wigs out of all the hair they get, but most of the hair they get is unsuitable for making wigs, anyway.  If your hair is chemically processed, in bad shape, or not enough is donated, they can't use it.  I think a lot of people just don't understand how few people have suitable hair for wig-making.
