Hi I'm trying to get my hair like shown in the following pictures:

The hair product i'm trying to use is

http://www1.bottomdollar.com/search_techspecs_full.php/masterid=7546388 - http://www1.bottomdollar.com/search_techspecs_full.php/maste rid=7546388

I've tryed experimenting with it with both damp and dry hair but I just can't seem to get the same effect. My hair is about the same length and thickness as that shown in the pictures. However, I'm not really sure how to use the texturising gum effectively. I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how much to use as it seems like i'd need a ton of it to cover all my hair I'm probably just using it wrong. Also does my hair need to be dry or damp to achieve the desired effect or am I using the wrong product entirely? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

have you tried the help they offer on the garnier website? its a different kinda style, but it gives you the right idea, just style it differently    http://www.garnierfructis.com/ - http://www.garnierfructis.com/     go to the style videos section and scrool until you find the beach head video and follow the directions on how to use it from there.

Hi thanks for the reply. I checked out the site and the 'Beach Head' video on there. I did exactly as the video/steps show but it turned out disastrous still. My hair was just a dry ball of mess. I think the problem may be int he way I wash my hair as I don't think my hair is in the right condition to start off. After I wash my hair it feels really dry and hurts to run my hands through my hair. When I wash my hair I just give it a wash with a normal shampoo. Should I be using a conditioner aswell? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

ALWAYS USE CONDITIONER AFTER SHAMPOOING

ITS THE UNWRITTEN LAW OF HAIR

but wash only like maximum 4 times a week

anymore its will be a waste of shampoo and your hair will become dry

I tried using conditioner and my hair did come out slightly better after washing. I was just playing around with some of the surf hair texture paste and I did get my hair sortof as to how I want it to look but it seemed to require that I use a lot of the stuff... is that normal or am I just being wasteful? I think it may take a lot for me because my hair is pretty darn thick. Would it help if I posted a picture of my hair after washing? Also what does it mean when you get your hair cut with thinning scissors? Would that help me considering my hair is thick?

Kind regards.
