Anyone try using Mane and Tail horse shampoo? I hear it helps grow your hair faster and stronger.

The shampoo is kinda harsh by the looks of its ingredients, but the conditioner looks okay. Nothing miraculous though

I have to use head and shoulders shampoo.  Its the only thing that helps my scalp, I have really bad danderuff if I use  anything else. One of the guys that does my hair said I have it because i have so much hair that my scalp cant breath.

Anyone know of anything else that might work for danderuff?

Thanks in advance!

Hi i wouldnt reccomend Johnsons baby shampoo to any1, i used it once and it gave me really bad dandruff and itches, i still have the itches and dandruff after 2 weeks of using it even after washing with my Ex shampoo which was fine for me.  im so annoyed because i have never had dandruff before!

Pixie...Cassia (sometimes called neutral henna, even though it's not henna at all) might help you.  It is supposed to be good for dandruff and other scalp problems.  Buy the pure powder, mix it with warm water, let it sit for 15 minutes or so and then apply it to your head. Wrap it up in plastic and then a towel for warmth and leave it on for half an hour.  Wash it off and see how your scalp feels.   You can get more info http://www.hennaforhair.com/faq/cassiaobovata.html - here

that's weird, what's your hair like MrsMNK. I've used Johnsons before and it's always seemed to work really well for my hair. Maybe it doesn't 'clean enough off' cos it's too gentle or something. interesting..

my hair is a pretty normal type about 2'' past bra strap,, ive never had dandruff, i dont understand why it made my scalp like that, but i was looking so forward to using it because i Really like the smell of baby products I thought that buying a baby shampoo would be more gentle to my hair and scalp, dont get me wrong my hair felt really nice, but my scalp had me going crazy!

me neither. maybe babies don't need it. Or they don't really care about whether their hair is in good condition or not

For the dandruff, have you looked at the Neutrogena medicated shampoos?  My dermatologist suggested T-Gel, which has salicylic acid in it.  You can also get medicated shampoo and/or a topical treatment that will help with the itching and flakes.  Although, in my case, once I started massaging my scalp well when I washed it, it really made a huge difference.  Here's some info getting all the gunk out: http://anaissatin.freespaces.com/scalpgunk.html

i think its actually starting to go now, ive been using my x-shampoo, Wish me luck i thort that T gel and  shampoos like that would damage the hair?
