OH NO!!!!!! What's going on? Is it dried and frizzy? This is the RK?! OMG that's terrible!! Now are you wearing the indian hair you ordered along with the RK hair?

Tell us what's going on exactly. This is awful.

Oh God Sherrie - that is sad! I'm really sorry it hasn't worked out for you blondies! Not to stick my finger in your eye, but for me, RK hair has been fantastic. Again, it's #4 and #2, not anywhere near blonde.

What makes it too bad and why I am sad for you is because it's such a good deal - the price including the shipping is VERY reasonable. But that's a moot point if the hair is bad.

Back to the drawing board.

Im glad the darker colors are working out. But this #22 blonde is definitely awful. but there is still hope as Amm has been using the natural RK and bleaching up to some golden and darker blonde shades with success. Im not sure if it would turn out as good bleaching up to #22 or #613...but its worth a try!

Definitely worth a try. Otherwise, you're back to Bohyme or EP and paying through the nose.

It's really porous, which means that it takes FOREVER to dry. When it's wet it almost feels like a sponge. I knew that was a bad sign. And if you *don't* dry it all the way, it does its own thing, which is to look like Garth. It almost has a dreadlock-y end look to. Having said that, if I want to mess and mess and mess with it, I can get it looking pretty decent. But it takes a LONG time. So in a way I'm back to the PlastikHaar conundrum, which is that I have to let it dry, then work on it later. It also has NO shine to it whatsoever. SO. . .it's back to the drawing board for me.

And yes, I am inspired by amm's hair coloring, just as I had good results with my own hair coloring. At the end of the day I think it's best to get ONE batch of human hair and dye it all the various colors so at least there's some consistency. It took me SO long to do this install, though, so I'm a little burned out on the hair front. When I get my energy level back up and/or start to look REALLY bad, I'll pursue that Indian hair/ coloring /reinstall thing. Oooh, it makes me so tired thinking of it. . .

;-)

Hey Fina! I just colored the hair I bought ( from a girl on the board) of yours and it turned out beautifull!!! I used 7n and 30 vol on half of it then the rest 8n and 40 (redkin) The 8 came out just like rk #4 and the other just slightly darker. The hair which still felt dry after olive oil and conditoner before, now is sooo soft and prety I cant wait for my next install. I think the color opend the cuticle enough that it could except the conditinor better. I wonder if RK virgin is the same quality as yours? On the site it dosent say where the virgin hair is. Each box list colors so I am afraid to order. I emailed them about this and have not heard back. That site is confusing they sell virginand cuticle free and colored hair but no mater what you click on you get the same price list.

sherrie, I'm bummed to read that #22 didn't hold up. Who knew to look at it. Since I've gotten the darker colors and even the virgin now, coloring your own seems the only way to go. At least you didn't have to get four packs and pay the India shipping. I guess that's something to be thankful for out of all this.

I don't know what process RK does to get this hair up to blonde but it's obviously not good when it turns this bad on so many. What a bummer.
