I'm Thinking about getting Extensions while I'm waiting (quite impatiently) for my hair to grow.  I would like to do it myself as I dont have the time or money to go to the salon.  Is it hard to do yourself? Should I get real human har or synthetic hair? Clip in or glue in? Any infor would be great!

Thanks in advance!

I think they seem to know everything about this topic on the extensions board.

I have read the hair extension board, but it doesn't have all the info there that I want so I thought I would ask people here.

I was just wondering if anyone here had any experince with extensions that could be helpful.  I dont want to ruin my real hair since Im growing it out.

Hi Pixie Goddess,

I've heard that even the most "gentle" methods of applying hair extensions can be damaging.  If you must get extensions, do your homework on that issue first.  Human hair is more expensive than synthetic, but is generally considered to look better (because it is real hair, after all).  And, installing "semi-permanent" extensions is best left to experts.  Clip-ins you could probably do yourself, after getting instruction s from your supplier.

You really can't get help with this aspect of extensions on the extensions forum?
