ok, i posted a couple mons. ago that the woman who relaxed my hair back then didn't relax all of my new growth (i had around 4ins. and she relaxed 1in thinking i was mistaken) anyway i was told to wait a couple mons. then get my hair repaired. i did.  this time i went to a licensed hairstylist with the same problem, explained it over and over, and SHE DID THE SAME THING!!! now i'm left with 1in. of relaxed hair, 4ins. of unrelaxed hair, and the old relaxed hair from way back when. i don't know what to do.  the stylist is like "wait a couple weeks or so let new growth develope and then she'll fix it" but i'm thinking if i let more new growth develope i'll have even more of a problem.

do you lady's, have any suggestions? should i do a protein treatment and go get another realxer before new growth developes, or should i wait and get more new growth then have all my hair relaxed over lapping? could someone please advise me?

tia

wow that sounds frustrating,, all i can say is treat
your hair delicately,, i have had awful experiences
with overlapping, and i just wanted straight hair but
ended up with much much shorter hair than id ever
imagined and its only just growing back,, its better at
to have underprocessed hair than over doing it ,, i
had hairs breaking way up near the root and just
strings of long hair hanging down,, this is due to over
lapping ,, if u do decide to relax this unrelaxed
portion make sure u have major pre conditioner on
ALL the relaxed portions and u could even try
applying neutralizing shampoo to the relaxed hair so
that it would alreday be neutralizeed if relaxer does
hit it,,( i read that somwhere,,dont know if it works,,
but it sounds logical lol) anyway if i were in your
situation id let that hair alone though the difference in
textures could also cause breakage... anyhoo
whetever u decide just be very precise,, good luck!!!

thanx for the advice c/c, i did an aphogee treatment tonight just to make sure i didn't get alot of breakage in the future. i think i'm going to wait a couple weeks and then re-relax putting conditioner on the sections of hair i don't want overlapped. time will tell i guess....
