I took a booking last night and don't know if I'm going to be able to do it, but she insisted I try.  Her hair is long on one side and short and spikey on the other and around the top, obviously I'm not going to have a problem with the longer side but that half of her head and the top can only be 1 or 11/2 inches long, what's the best method to use do you think? Any help would be muchly appreciated x

Shrinkies or fusion at the top.  But you don't do fusion do you?  I'd make the sections and the attachment hair really small at the top too so they'd be les obvious.

I like wefts for very short hair, it gives better, smoother coverage.

Yes I do fusion but I don't like doing fusion if you get what I mean LOL.  If I put a weft at the very top section how would you cover the weft bit on the last row and wouldn't her hair just stick up over it?  Has anyone got any pictures? x

cant she do a side part where the longer hair covers up the shorter hair?  that way you wouldnt have to worry about the bonds showing as much

That's a brilliant idea but the hair wouldn't reach, the spikey top goes too far over? Do you think I'm going to have a big problem x

I suppose you could sandwich that top layer down to the weft....but that might look stiff and flat. What about weft and the topmost layers fusion?

Amanda, I tried to click over to your website and you have an extra "am" in your link. Nice site, love the before and afters. Wow, why couldn't you live in the US.? Preferably Michigan

You can get what are essentially teeny-tiny wigs to cover the top of
the head if you're putting wefts in really short hair. They're only a
couple of inches across, so they're just fake part-lines. I think
they're mostly used for sewn-in weaves, if the client has all their hair
braided into tracks. I just googled, but I'm not sure what they're
actually called so I couldn't link any examples for you. Hopefully
someone who knows more than me can tell you.

if it is, it is from hairpiece. the url is http://www.hairpiece.com/product.asp?pf_id=TCLS%2D18

idk if they will ship to your area amanda, but maybe you could find a more local seller. just look for weave closers.
