So I am bored so I want to ask what is your daily hairstyle?? After you wash your hair what do you do to it? straighten it, put it in a wet/dry ponytail? make a cool bun, etc. Just post what you do to your hair!! After I wash my hair, somtimes I blow dry/flat iron it then I will either put it in a pony or I will leave it out. When it's wet, I will put it in a veriety of buns and ponys or pin ups and twist ups. There's lot's of hairstyles to choose from. You might learn some new ones here!!

When Jennifer is home, she lets it air dry and lets it down and flowing.  When she's working, she's a painter by trade (not the artistic type, but the brush and roller type).  This causes problems sometimes for long hair as you could probably imagine.  If she lets it down as she occassionally does, she inevitably dips it into a 5-gallon bucket of paint and then we end up picking paint out of her hair in the evening - strand-by-strand.  This is only about once or so a week and it's just the ends unless she doesn't notice it and gives it a good dip.  So, most of the time, she puts it in a single bun to keep it out of the way.  Other things she does are a braid, ponytail, two buns (one on each side of her head) or sometimes a topsy-tail.

Daily Hair Style - I tend to favor ponytails (in that 'high on the back of the head' 80s way of wearing them), but will alter my hair style.  For some reason, I rarely make pony tails low at the base of the neck.  But right now my hair is in a french twist.

I french braid it, rope twist it in a pony tail, wear it down with the sides simply pulled back in clips or barettes.  I will also vary the french braid look by doing an under-braid.  Instead of french braiding by crossing over the strands, I do it under.  And the end result is a thick braid from the begiinning of the braid at the top of your head all the way down your back.

Sometimes I will french braid the sides and connect the two braided loose strands in the back into one over the rest of the hair that is left down.

If I am feeling ambitious, I will up an upside-down french braid.  This is where you hang your head upside down and french braid from the base of you neck on up.  Then you tuck in the end braid into a fabulous up-do.   I first saw this in a braiding book on a black hair model.  It looked really sharp on her because with her thick African textured hair, the hair style held the structure wonderfully.  Mine does not hold the structure quite in the same way, but it is a nice look on anyone.

Another complicated style I will do only on occasion is pseudo-french braid where, instead of braiding, you incorporate a spiral twist.  It looks pretty cool, but is rather hard to do, espeically with a triple spiral twist.

I taught myself to weave hair (see the 'braid' Legolas wore in LOTR films for an example) but my hair always comes out of a weave.

I still have a love for banana clips, but can rarely find the right ones that can stay on your hair.  Too bad, they were always very comfortable and looked cool.

After shampoo - sometimes I will partially blow-dry it, but I usually let it air dry.  If I wanty a bit of lift, I will put it in a soft, loose  pony-tail or just loosely bun it.  And when I am just slacking around the house, I will loosely bun it.  (For some reason, I rarely bun it for work.)  I do use the blow dryer to style my shorter bangs though.

And I never pig-tail it.  I realize they tried to bring this in as an 'adult' hair style a while back, but the Cindy Brady look just is not for me.

And right now I wear it up a lot because it is hot here in the summer.  In the winter, I tend to wear my hair down a lot more.

Daily hairstyles: Single braid, simple cinnabun, loose, or mid-to-low pony. There are some styles that are possible on my hair but I'll do it only on occasion-- twin braids, figure 8, Chinese bun, scrunchie bun.

After washing (I do a CO every 8-9 days): squeeze with microfiber towel, wet comb and air dry at the same time, until barely dry, then I sock curl (or damp braid with sock curled ends).

Great topic!

Since I'm still in the annoying, growing-out, between chin and shoulder phase, I don't have a whole lot of variety in my daily styles -- but I definitely have taken the advice of many on this site to wear it up so I don't concentrate on my growth rate so much!

In general, I pull as much of it back into a mid-level ponytail as I can (the rest is held by barrettes), then flip the tail upward and hold it in place with a leather hair-slide.  It feels nice and secure, and does a good job of disguising the many different lengths of my layers.

I like wearing two ponytails, but I find I look too much like my four-year-old when I do, so this is pretty much relegated to weekend-wear.

Post-shampoo routine is comb out, air dry, and pin up.  No mas.

After washing I let it air dry down or back in a cloth headband.

I like variety in my daily styles. I used to do french twists everyday, but that stopped working so well with the longer length, so I usually wind up doing something different almost every day lately.  I like the half up with the top half in a bun with hairsticks look, sometimes ponytails, (thank goodness its been cooler!), or one ponytail or french braid on the side with various clips and accessories.
