hello!

so i've been highlighting my light brown hair now for 5+ years and i loved my blonde/brown locks but i'm bored. i'm sick of the color and frankly, in the winter time when i've lost all my time i feel very washed out and pale. so with fall coming up, i'm ready for something new and different.

i made an appointment for this coming weekend with my hairdresser and she knows i'm ready for a change. she has some ideas of her own but she wants me to have an idea of what i want.

i would love to go to a darker brown or even a shade of red, but i'm afraid i'll choose something that wont look appropriate for my skin coloring.

i have green eyes & naturally light brown hair. i tan easily but get somewhat pale in the winter. i also have naturally wavy hair that is very thick but i keep it short.

here are some pictures to help. the first few are of me tan (how i usually am during the summer months)

and here are some of me at more my normal coloring:

any ideas would be much appreciated! it helps to have someone elses opinion. i'm not a very good judge.

thanks so much for listening!

christine

I agree! I too have light/med. brown hair, green eyes (with topaz specks)
and skin that tans easily but returns to a light beige or sandy color in the
winter. My shade is a bright auburn, but now and then I will switch to a
richer shade, especially in the summer becuase the chlorine tends to
make it brassy.

thanks so much you 2 - i think i might just do auburn. i've been wanting to for some time but i was never sure if it would look alright. i'll keep you posted how it turns out.

If you want to play a little with colors, you can do a virtual thing on http://www.clairol.com - www.clairol.com  in the 'try it on studio'. Just upload a pic of yourself and try to pick a hairstyle close then play with the colors.
