Hi I'm new and I was wondering if anyone else has experience with a great hair color kit that has worked well with very thick dark hair.

I'm looking for a natural reddish-brown color thats not brassy or purple or too light seeing how as my asian skin tone can't handle it. I've tried some washable hair color (clairol) but it has no affect on my rediculously thick/black hair. And i'm just plain sick of highlights. But is it okay to apply color only to the top layer of hair where its most visible, has anyone tried that? Hehe, call me lazy, but I just think its too messy to do my entire head of hair.

Thanks again, any advice would be helpful!

My friend used L'Oreal Féria Sunset Blaze and it worked on her (She's
Korean). It didn't obviously give her the color on the box, but it did give
her a noticeable red tint not only in the sunlight but in artificial light too.

But if you're not a fan of feria (because it's a two-way street once you've
used it, it's very hard to get out but also won't wash out too easy).

I've only used Feria on my hair becuase it gives me the best results and
leaves my hair in great condition, but there are cons to it if you change
your mind halfway through... hehe.
