i only use that if i want to add some shine to my hair when im going
out. i don't brush much with it, i just put it in right before i put on
my du-rag. i haven't used it much cause i like blue magic better

So over all, I would say it does not give you waves, but it does make your hair healthier. Having healthy hair helps when you're training your hair for waves.
