I'm
a natural blonde (medium) and have always kept it lightened until
yesterday...I'd been wanting to color my hair red for about 6 years,
just didn't have the nerve to do it. I did it last night, though, but
this color is much to brown for my liking...I mean, it's a pretty
color, but not what I wanted, nor does it really suit me (or at least I
don't think it does) Anyways, I'm going back out tonight to find a
better color. I'm looking at Feria in Sunset Blaze or Copper
Shimmer..but what do I need to do before I re-color it? Should I try to
take out as much of the color and if so, what should I use? I live in
the UK now and I've never seen anything like a stripper or
whatever...would one of those pre-lightening things work? And how long
should I wait to do it again? Any quick responses would be appreciated!
Thanks

Be careful with Feria. I've heard its difficult to get rid of it
if you don't wind up liking it. If its nice now, why not just
work with it for awhile until it fades? Have you tried adjusting
your make up to go with it? Sometimes a reddish brown eyebrow
pencil is all you need!

I'm just too pale for hair this dark, though..or at least I think I am.
Had thought about the makeup adjusting, but would rather just be
comfortable with it with or without makeup on. Just didn't want so much
actual brunette look to it, and that's what I've got! Wanted RED red,
not brown red!

Sunset Blaze will give you what you're looking for (I've been a bright
auburn since April) it will give you a beautiful shimmery red but will look
almost cherry red for a few days before it fades. Just make sure you do a
strand test before hand so you know what you're getting yourself into,
because like susan w said, Feria is one of the hardest dyes to get out (ti's
a direct dye)
