Hey Everyone!

I last wrote asking a question asking about the method of extensions would be the best. I have had wefts in for 1 year..the problem was the hair was so tangly and gross it was breaking off my own hair. No matter what conditioner I was using. The suggestion was to try Boheme hair, which I did. I have to adimt this hair is great.. However, When my stylist took out the old wefts and tracks, I was horrified to see my hair at ear length. Everything has broken off except for the top layer that hasn't been in or among the wefts.Feeling doomed to need my long hair back in the stylist put in the new hair, "swearing that this will be better..." It has been 2 weeks and I now have several sores and scabs from each weft pulling my scalp so tight. this has NEVER happened before.

Any input is appreciated. I'm getting these out. My other question is, is Hair 37 any good to help me strengthen amd aide in hair growth? What about Viviscal?

I am so depressed.

Take them out asap.

Never go back to her.

Now thats out of the way, I dont really know anything about straighteners so I cant help you there, but there are many many ways to install hair.

So to help narrow it down, how thick and what texture is your hair to start with?

My hair is what I woud call meduim, but not very thick. The texture is average, however when it tangled with that bad hair, it broke off. I wouldn't say my hair was weak, but definatley not stong enough to hold up to that...

I hope you have already followed Kalika's advice on removing the wefts.

If you have pics of your head now, and your extensions goals (froma magazine or what not) that is really helpful for getting an idea of what to suggest.

How were the wefts put in?  Cornrowed and sewed in?  Or glued in?

I sorry to hear that, Miss SLC. I had a client with the same
problem then I put her in Hair Support. It helps create a healthy
scalp environment. Having a healthy scalp promotes strong
hair growth. I have found it to be very effective being a
specialist is not only 'fashion hair enhacements' but 'problem
hair' as well.

Getting back to my client, after her daily habits with the HS, I
noticed her hair was stronger and I was able to tie in the 4
micropoint links without any problem. Prior to that, her hair
would just break off. I have also prescribed these products to
clients prior to install services, as well as during and after.

These have been my experiences in my field of business. A
word of advice- in the beginning I have found that clients notice
more than normal shedding or in some cases 'allergic'
reactions. It is because depending on how many layers of
'problem' the HS has to 'dig' into the scalp in order to
rejuevenate it. But in the long term, the results are OMG -
AMAZING !!! Good Luck to you!

PS. I would do a search on 'Hair Support' for more info as I am
not allowed to advertise.

Kalika, My hair is silky straight.

I originally got the extensions so that my hair would grow out WITH the extensions in.. But now it's worse than ever! I could've shaved my head, and had my hair be longer by now.

They were sewn in wefts. When I took them out, One of the opinions I got was that they were put in WAY too tight and was pulling the hair from the scalp. I'm just amazed this happened. There's even places where I have little bald spots from the tracks.

And thanks Cybermane, I'll check into that.

Caution- I LOSE AN EXTENSION CLIENT TO HAIR SUPPORT , but these are tears of joy b/c she is completely happy feeling normal again!

Sewn in wefts weren't for me either. I have permanent bald spots on my crown from that method. It's just not for everyone. I can't wear tight clips either. Fusion and shrinkies and LG glued in wefts worked better. Hope it grows quick for you.

Sorry to read about your hair.  Watch it with clip-in also.  If the hair is cheap your own hair will get damaged with it just the same.  I was noticing this when I switched to a different brand of hair from my Bliss.  With the bliss hair my own hair was growing nicely and I only needed tiny snips taken off the bottom.  When I switched to a different brand I noticed my hair was very rough at the bottom and I had to cut 2 inches off.  Needless to say I am back with the bliss and my hair again is doing great.
