Looking to do shrinkies install with Plastikhaar, and I need to buy a wand!

What's the difference between a dualsided wand with a curved tip (to
totally surround the shrinkie, I guess), and a dualsided wand with a flat
heating surface (like a flat iron)? Any opinion on which one is better for
shrinkies?

I totally prefer the flat iron type wand it seems to shrink the shrinkies more uniformly x

I have been recently using the dual sided wand with the curved tip on my shrink link applications and I love it.

I must say that I think that the shrink links, as  opposed to shrinkies, shrinks down much faster.  It takes only about 6-10 seconds to shrink a shrink link, where I have heard that it can take up to 30 seconds to shrink a shrinkie.

Wow, there's shrinkies and then there's shrink links? I didn't realize
there was a difference. I'll be doing a full head, so the 20 second time
savings per shrink would add up!

I'm drooling over Amm's shrinkies; they're cheaper, and people seem to
like them more than Doc Locks. (Well, just about everything Amm sells is
cheaper than doc locks for me, because doc locks only ships express to
Alaska, or 2 day air. $$$!) How long do Amm's shrinkies take to shrink?

What are shrink links? Does someone here on the boards sell them? Any
other people here who really like them over shrinkies?

The Shrink Links are the original shrink tubing for extensions that was invented and patented by Mark Barrington over 10 years ago.

They only sell to professionals who have taken their class.

With your wand good and hot Amms shrinkies dont take that long to shrink. Once I hear them start to sizzle I heat them about 7 seconds. It ususally takes about 7/8 seconds til I hear the sizzle, then another 7 seconds ...so 15 seconds. I rarely ever lose a shrinkie so I must be getting the timing right. But Im sure that everyones wand will vary a little. Im sure Amm can better answer the correct amount of heat/shrink time.
