| I was wondering if any of you have had any of these surgeries: brest augmentation, lip augmentation or rhynoplasty surgery? If so how much did it cost for you? I've been browsing websites and can't find anything on how much it might cost. Thanx |

Costs depend on where you are in the country, although I don't think they vary TOOOOO much. Here in CA, a rhino is between $3500 and $5500. I had one on Monday and it was $4000 which at first I thought was a bit high (actual cost is $4500 but i got a $500 discount) until two things:
a) I saw my surgeon on a list compiled by other doctors as one of the best plastic surgeons in the country (whoa), and b) the result. Absolutely beautiful! So sometimes it pays to pay the full price for the great surgeon, especially for something on your face. Here is CA, breasts run between $3500 and $6,000...something like that. Never had the procedure, but those are the numbers I've heard others have paid. If you're brave, there are some excellent surgeons in Tijuana - really! - and their costs can be up to 40% less than here and the two I've seen do really great work! They do lots of breast and butt implants in TJ. Hope that helps. |

I have been wanting a nose job as long as I can remember. I finally got the nerve (and have the $$$) to consider it. I went to a consultation yesterday in S.F (northern Cal) and he quoted me $5,900.00. I thought it would be around that much. That's not something where cost should be an issue- they are taking a hammer to your face I am going for a second consultation to another doctor just get get educated and know what's out there, although yesterdays doc had the right idea of what would look best for my face which I appreciate. The only thing that worried me is that the "closer", the women who explains the prices, was a little to eager to get me in....this week! I don't know if that could be a bad sign. Shouldn't great doctor's be booked for month's? Has anyone seen a plastic surgeon in San Francisco. Let me know |

Hello, I had a breast augmentation in Scottsdale, Az in 2003. At the time I paid $4,900.00. Also to Hotchillis I did a consultation with Dr. James Romano in San Francisco. I think he is located on Post St in Union Square (all those one way streets get me confused). That was in 2002, the reason I didn't go with him was his patient coordinator reminded me of a car salesman and he wanted $6,500 for a breast augmentation. That's why I flew to Arizona. Good Luck,

hey, i dont know if u have already gotten ur surgury, but if u havent...i have had a nose job in 2003. I went two 3 different doctors, even though after the first one, i had already really made up my mind. He specialized in facial and nose surgurys. after our consult, i told him i would get back to him, there was no pressure and i was honest with him telling him i was going to check out other doctors. when i finally came back he was booked moths ahead of time. i made my appointment 2 months ahead of time, but thats what u want. I sat down with his assistant and she gave me all the percriptions and things i had to do months ahead. She told me what viatamins to take so i wont have brusing undermy eyes. and it works! i had NO black and blue or swollen anything. He was amazing... Just do ur research.. i dont see how someone can possible do a surgury the same week, u need time to prepare. But if they can and it works out.. then more power to them. Let me know what u chose and if i was any help! |

I have another appointment on Monday and one that could only get see me until May and he is a nose specialist. If all goes well, hopefully I will have a new nose by summer...yippie!!! |

yea. its weird.. but thats want u want.. somone who is really busy. like the person u are going to see in may. it shows that they have a lot of clientel and they are good. good luck with the nose job. i am sure it will be amazing! |

Breast implants done in Boston $5900. Had a great dr, well known and great reputation. Came with alot high marks with his back ground check.

make sure you check them out w/the board of plastic surgeons,that they are licensed in this, that the dr isnt doing this "on the side" and a big advertisement in the yellowpages" doesnt mean that he/she does a great job or has a thriving practise. No good dr will talk you into anything you dont want done. They will show before/after pics of their clients. Call the local hospitals see if he is certified to perform there or anyone has heard of him. CHECK, CHECK, CHECK.

In order to fine a good doctor for breast augmentation, lip or any surgery you must do research, make sure he`s board certified. (Thats very important), read about him or her, just don`t look at the photos. Make sure you know how many procedures of breast implants the doctor had performed per year. Ask a lot of questions, when you go for consultation. Its your body and you need to know. Make sure the doctor has a certified anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist. Find out how long the breast implants last, where will the doctor make the incision on you body, is it under the arm pit, around the aerola, or under the breast? will you scar? How how much time before you could do normal activities etc...? Just do research go to different doctors for consultation it might be costly. Consultation prices go from $100-300 per visit, so prepare to spend. Breast Augmentation is any price range from $7000-12,000 depends on the doctor and location. I got a rhinoplasty in last december (for cosmetic purposes) it was 5000 originally but the doctor is one of my dad's really good friends, so we only paid 4000. He is very reputable (here in NY)...and did an excellent job, i'm more than happy with my results. If your seriously considering it though, i advise to consult with more than one surgeon, good luck! ------------- *Cristina* :) |

I know that Beauty in Prague can be up to 60 percent cheaper than procedures done in the US and the UK. Just if you are going to travel make sure you conduct all the proper research needed to make sure post op care and accommodations for healing time are not going to be a problem. |

hi maryc1, sorry i don't know the cost of lip augmentation or rhynoplasty surgery but i can give you a rough idea about brest augmentation surgery. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the national average surgeon’s fee for breast augmentation in 2005 was $3,406. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) lists surgeons’ fees at an average of $3,583 for saline implants and $4,005 for silicone in 2005. However, the actual comprehensive breast augmentation cost and implant prices are not accurately represented by these figures, because fees will vary from region to region and they do not include the various associated expenses. |

I've been told by 2 surgeons that any insurance company would cover my
surgery, but the book of the company insurance says that maxillofacial
surgery is included when you have a deformity, and I have an open bite,
so I'll try to fight to have the upper jaw covered. At least I'll try
