Hello group! Just wanted to share some good news. My wife`s been using VO5 hot oil weekly for a couple of years and has liked the results - softer hair than when she used to have long hair and did not use a weekly deep conditioner. But, she still tended to have some flyaway frizzies, especially during the dry winter months like we`ve been having lately. Well, she recently read somewhere that deep conditioners lose any effect after twenty minutes. She`d been following the VO5 directions and only leaving it on for a minute or two, but after reading that decided to try leaving it on longer. Well, three weeks ago she left it on for about half an hour or so, and the results were fantastic. She didn`t need to deep condition again for a couple of weeks, and her hair has been silkier than ever, without any frizziness, even though the weather has continued to be cold and dry.
So, the moral is to try leaving your deep conditioner on for a really long time if your hair is not as silky as you would like.
Of course, you may be saying "Duh", but it took us a couple of years to figure this out! We felt a little like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz afterwards..."I could have thought of that with my brain."
