I lurked around the site a few weeks ago and I could have sworn I found a website that sells wefts with the rings already sewn on. I thought I had saved it but I cant find it anywhere in my favs. I think they cost around $168??

Thanks

Em

Hey Sherrie!!!!

Hows it going? Im loving all the new hair Im seeing here. So many new great ideas.

Well, between family, school and working, I havnt had much time for anything else. But things are settling down a little so maybe I can get back into hair again.

During the last six months or so I went through a color phase and if that wasnt bad enough I tried to perm my hair. Needless to say it was just too much for my hair so about a month ago I just shaved it all off to start over again...lol...

Its too short to do any kind of extensions right now so Im planning for the future. I really liked the idea of these ringed wefts but not knowing anything about the hair they use Im thinking of getting WAWA from Carol, rings and the closure and sew them on myself.

Em

Its good to see you back Em...so what are ya doing now...wearing wigs? Does your hair grow very fast? Hopefully it wont be too long before you get back into the hair groove! Oh yeah...the board has been full of great new ideas! And lots of new stuff on the hair scene!

Hey... any reviews on that 'Ringed Weft"?  I've been sewing wefts in myself for 5 yrs... corn row first, of course, then sew with thread etc.... works fabulous... and give me not only volume with the hair, but the corn row sort of 'pooches' out the back of my head which gives me a more voluminous look... However, wouldn't the 'Ring Method' SAG in between the rings?  Anyone out there doing 'Ringed Wefts' yet?

Hey Sherrie, yeah my hair grows fast. I wore a wig for about a month and probably in another month my hair will be long enough to do extensions. I figure in the next month I can get all the supplies together and take my time sewing the rings on and playing with the hair. BTW I saw a thread, it was started back in August about your WAWA install. It was gorgeous!!!  Did you use the velvet rollers to curl the hair? I know that was the last big debate when I was on. I still have the ones that I bought. And I read about the steamer to keep the ends nice, is that still a good idea? And also the trick with the fabric softener. Cant wait to get started again.

Genie: I dont know if Rae is still on here or not but I think she used to do ringed wefts and had success with them. The rings are sewn on about every inch, so there isnt any sagging. Also, my husband is my hair assistant  so I have to make it easy for him..lol..he's done rings on me before, a whole head of about 200, so I think he can handle these ringed wefts.

Hey Em I used my curling iron the first time I curled the Wawa. After that I used velcro rollers and a steamer to reset. Maybe If I had used the rollers and steam instead of the curling iron the wawa would have stayed softer...but Im not sure on that. And yes the steaming does work wonders. I steamed and reset once a week. The fabric softener I didnt like, it made it feel soft initially but then after it just felt heavy and yucky...but others have said the fabric softener did wonders...it may have been that I hadnt diluted the fabric softener enough. Im still experimenting with the Wawa for future use!

Genie...I agree that with Em that the rings are put on close enough together that there shouldn't really be any sagging!
