Hi i have curly hair but not to curly and i wanted to try a gentle texturizer with no lye! Any recomendations ( I heard that some female texturizers were good to)

just like you say brushing alot is gonna make people with waves
go bald. texturizers will make you bald quicker with irreversible
damage to your scalp...........hate on playa

Texturizers only cause damage to the scalp if you put the product on the SCALP. That's why the instructions say DO NOT APPLY TO SCALP. If you don't feel comfortable enough to do it yourself, just have it done professionally. Rusk radical anticurl is an excellent, gentle texturizer. Is is Thio based instead of Sodium Hydroxide (or LYE). Other choices are Redken Vertical or Loreal X-tenso.

Yes, it is what is known as Jheri Reding, which is what they use to create a jerri curl.
