I remember that in the semi recent comics she had cut her hair. But in the most recent issues she seems to be back to her classic long locks. Did she grow it back?

Did the character grow it back? Or did they give no explanation and just draw her with long hair again?

Well she does have rather long hair in the JLA/JLU cartoons.

I remember the comic book Spider-Woman, with Jessica Drew, got wound up in the mid 1980s, at issue 50, just after she'd cut her own hair (or ripped it) to get out of an underwater trap. Looked OK, but she never had a chance to grow it back before she got aced!

Linda Carter does fit the Wonder Woman architype.  Even comic artists like Alex Ross:

sticks close to the ideal created by Linda Carter.

They are supposed to be making a new Wonder Woman movie.  I have a hard time seeing anyone else fill her boots.

There's a Wonder Woman movie in the works.

the creator of the tv series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is set to direct the movie.

no one has been cast yet.

He has gone on record and said Sara Michelle Gellar though will not be cast.

Rumors have had his other former Buffy star Charisma Carperter has been suggested as the lead. Sandra Bullock who was once rumored is now out of the running for the role all together.

As far as the comic, Wonder Woman sported a short spiked/pixie look in the comic in the summer 0f 2003. I dont know how long this concept lasted, but like already stated the character is back to long hair.

For as long as it was fresh in peoples minds, her hair (in the comic) grew back from the cut at a natural rate. Enough time has passed now that the various artists who draw her have sort of just started to draw her however. It's currently just below shoulder most of the time. People prefer her with the long hair. It's iconic, for her, anyway :)

(Pick up any comic and you'll see Superman with a slightly different haircut in each one even if they are all supposed to be happening at the same time. Just depends on the artist.)

I head that Nadia Bjorlin wanted to try out for it also. She would be a nice fit. She has blue eyes and Brown hair.

Lucy Lawless should be Wonder Woman ^_^ .  Of course, she would have to dye her hair back Xena-dark, or wear a wig, but I think she'd be good at the part.  Especially if the movie didn't take itself entirely seriously ^_^ . . .
