I tried the Healthy Hair Butter and it was OK..."nothing to write home about" as I always say. Particularly the scent..to herby for my taste and made me sneeze and it left my hair feeling GREASEY, not moisturized.

I love the Healthy Hair Butter.  The scent doesn't bother me, and does not linger at all. I don't find it to be herby, it's more floral or sweet to me.  I am realxed and this stuff really melts into my hair, makes it so soft, shiney and moisturized (this is my daily moisturizer).  I use it sparingly, a tiny dab here, another tiny dab there...on my ends and new growth.

I have a big jar of Marguerite's Magic which has the same ingredients as the HHB.  I find I don't like it as much and it doesn't have the same effect on my hair.  It has a different smell as well which I do not like as much as the HHB.  My aunt who is Puerto Rican and has curly hair loves the Hair Mimosa which I find to be too greasy for me.   Goes to show you to each his own.

Hey I understand, they are pricey depending on what you compare them to.  If you compare to some other natural brands, they are comparable.  I just have a bad spending habit as my husband likes to remind me all the time.  He works in Brooklyn so I wait till he's in a good mood and ask him to pick up what I need.  Then I convince him that by going in person we are saving $$ on s&h so he is even more inclined.

That's on my birthday list for next month!! I haven't heard rave reviews on it, but it looks ok to me. It's worth a try I guess.

P.S Nita81, I 'm lovin' the Gem avatar!! I thought I was the only one who use to watch that show!!
