I play football, and i am wondering if putting the helmet on and taking it off affects the waves. i durag during games, but will it affect my progress? ------------- you do your thing, let me do mine we'll get your b!tch on the phone and we'll see who's lying! |

not duraging under ur helmet..... but im not allowed to wear anything under my joint so my hair be *ucked up like $hit. but just have a brush afta practice and games n u str8 ------------- It aint me, its my jewlery thats pissed off |

it wouldnt mess up ur waves even if u didnt wear a du rag. but since u r, it prolly doesnt hurt. sweat acts like a natural moisturizer. water IS the only natural product that sum of us use and thats exactly wut sweat is. so everythings all right. i havent seen ne one permanently sweat out waves yet.(sarcastic tone) -------------

I know a lot of players round here and a lot of players in the NFL wear dome caps to keep they hair compressed under they helmet. That way, you don't get that durag tail thing sticking out. You can even fold it back over itself so you won't see it in the front either. ------------- The world is mine. |

^yeah i seen those. They look tight i wouldn't mind copping some for myself because whenever i play basketball i prefer to wear something over my head..like a du rag ------------- BRUSH HARD & DRIVE SLOW HOMIE

My man Gatorstompin said it right. When I played at OSU they didn't let us wear du rags or wave caps. Shoot, they didn't let us wear ear rings on or off the field. My ex-college room mate and team mate, Jason Gildon who played in the NFL for 6 or 7 years, use to do that. He wore a wave cap which is not seen under your helmet. Plus if it's black, it looks like your hair anyway. ------------- Look to the skies and keep your eyes on the prize! I been through Hell but, STILL I RISE! |

Yea I palyed football, basketball, and ran track in highschool. I was a bigtime jock. I still look like I play sports cause of all the weight lifting and running. The athletic look stay with you for a while after you stop playing. Yea I went to school with a few cats who played ball in the NFL. Remember a white guy named Big Country that played basketball for OSU and went to the NBA. His dorm room was right down the hall from mines. He use to date this female that was so short, that she looked like Mini-Me under Big Country. A guy named Corey Williams, he played piont for OSU with Big Country. He also played for the Bulls with Micheal Jordan. We use to eat breakfast lunch and dinner together at the OSU athletic training table where all the athletes eat. Remember that OSU played against the Fab 5 of Michigan. I got a chance to meet the Fab 5 when they came to OSU to play. I played football against Elvis, Michigans quarterback who later went to the NFL. I sacked him once. In highschool we played against Dallas Carter Highschool in OakCliff. Jessie Armstead of the NY Giants played for Carter high. I played agains Kevin Williams who went to Dallas Roosevelt highschool. We was messing with the same girl in highschool. I played against all of the Big 8 players back then. So you know I played against a lot of guys who played pro ball. If you play any division 1 football, you will play against guys who will be in the NBA or NFL. That's the way it is in Division 1 sports, it's not really that big of a deal. I met a lot of guys who played pro ball. I almost played pro football. I went through try outs and everything. ------------- Look to the skies and keep your eyes on the prize! Ok, Bball or any other sport is a way of getting free money to go to school. Colleges and Universities will pay for everything, but don't think for one minute that sport will take you there. You grades better be good too. I look back now and I say that I could have went for basketball or football. but I could have also went to college because of my grades. Grades are so important, young people don't understand that they can make you or break you. all I knew is that I did not want to stay in the Ghetto after I graduated school. Back then, everybody got away with selling crack and killing people. That was not the enviroment for me. i played ball and went to school. Now I live in the burbs and drive past my old hood all because of a college education and the self-determination of a Lion. ------------- Look to the skies and keep your eyes on the prize!
