Have always liked her but don't know about this "pull the hair straight back from the forehead" thing.  Here's a link to wireimage pics:

http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=CLB&str=3556&styp=clbi&nm=Reese%20Witherspoon&nbc1=1 - http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=CLB&s tr=3556&styp=clbi&nm=Reese%20Witherspoon&nbc1=1

There are recent pictures from her visit to TRL at MTV where she looks great; but .... then there are pics from her David Letterman drop in with the look I described above.  Does anyone like this look.  I know I haven't liked it on anyone for years.

I thought she looked outstanding on Letterman. It did look a little old fashioned, but worked brilliantly on her. I just wasn't sure it was all her own hair.

She looks great with long hair, but was also hot with that short, cute style, in Sweet Home Alabama.

Hawg, to answer your question, pulling the top part straight back from
the forehead I don't think has ever looked good on any woman, ever. A
bold statement, but I stand by it. It's not even clear to me why it
SHOULD look good, and yet it never entirely leaves the scene. I
secretly call it the "skunk" look, as that's what it reminds me of.

That aside, I like the other pictures. Not amazing or new styles, but her
hair generally looks cute and healthy.

It can look good and it's brilliant in warm weather when you don't want clumps of hair sticking to your face.

This is one girl I do prefer blonde, but not long.  She looked great with the little blonde bob she had going on....she has a really beautiful face the long hair just drags it down......cut cut cut

I dont really like this length on her, but I love this cut and color! Once my hair grows out long enough in a couple of months I am getting my hair cut and colored like that. I have a round face so long hair looks better on me. I agree with ShokinPinkPetals her face is to long and angular for long hair to me it seems. Does anybody have bigger pictures of this hair cut? That I can bring into a hairstlist, the only ones I can find are small.

I think she looks great.

Funny to hear that people don't like the hair pulled back from the forehead thing.  Honestly, with the right face shape and forehead size, I think this can be a good look.  Of course, I can't get away with it because of my high hairline.  I always thought I was missing out on a cool styling option.

I don't like it pulled back flat it has to have the bump on it to give the hair height!! - theres propbably no point in trying to explain it!! I prob still look daft!!

Yeah, people do that. Maybe they just don't want to hurt your feelings ...

I don't like hair that's pulled straight back at the top, as that makes for a balding look :-P .  But it's not as bad if there's a bit of height to the pulled-back part.  She definitely looks cuter in shorter hair, though.

Anything that takes attention away from the fact she has a enormous forehead would be a good thing.

Also anything that takes attention away from the fact she is married to Ryan Phillipe who has stated he's jealous of her soaring carreer, is a good thing too.

*wonders why so many people have a beef with giant foreheads*  I'm a giant forehead person myself, and I kinda like them.  What I don't like is the people whose hairlines start like half an inch above their eyebrows :-P .  That looks a little weird, to me.

I am guilty of wearing my hair like that on occasion.  Hair in my face drives me nuts.  I am pregnant in this pic...which is why I am showing the camera my belly

I asked for the larger pic. thanks Tony. I want my hair cut like her so I am looking for bigger pictures of her hair cut to to take to my stylist. I just fell in love with the cut and color when I saw it on TRL. And on something kind of unrealted I saw "Just Like Heaven" last night with some friends. Ha, just thought that was kind of funny.

Granted your pics are small so its hard to tell but, you dont seem to have a giant forehead and if you do, your hairstyle fits yourface  and forehead nicely

I'm talking about people who choose a look that not only shows off their enormous forehead but makes it look bigger. Reese's high hair or any faux hawk that Jessica Simpson or one of the Dixie chicks wore, when you have a large forhead just makes your forehead look even bigger.

It's like wearing Groucho Marks glasses over a large nose and glasses.

As for low hairline's Donald Trump's a perfect example of that and it is indeed scary.

Kramer- My hair is pretty much the same length, a few layers I think since then.

I'm a little late joining this thread, but I do want to note that at this year's Miss Teen USA competition a few weeks ago the winner wore the "top straight back" look during the entire competition, and I think she looked great.  Her hair was blonde, very straight, and about waist-length.  I'd link to a picture, but I'm sorry I don't know how.  Anyway, her name was Allie LaForce, and she was Miss Teen Ohio.  I guess that doesn't answer the criticism that it is a "schoolgirl" look, but in my opinion it can be a good look for any age, depending on the person.  (And Tinkerbelle, you look great in the picture with yours pulled straight back - glad to hear it's still that long - and Nikki I'm sure yours looks great, too!!)

I guess you mean hair like this: http://www.geocities.com/naia_zifu/Taikat2.jpg - http://www.geocities.com/naia_zifu/Taikat2.jpg  ?  (May have to cut and paste to get it to work.  *pokes all free servers*)  And before anyone asks, the pony in that pic is very fake, worn for the costume ^_^ .
