ok so first of all theres hair on superhairfactory.com that I would like to buy. Its human and about 15 dollars for 4 ounces. So two questions (one two parter):

Can I put hand tied hair onto a weft? And if so, HOW?

Also, do you think 4 ounces is enough to do a full head? (meaning all the way around, not necessarly my whole head)

I think it is the cheapest way to do it, but I really want it in a weft.

Thanks!

If its hand tied its already on a weft. And it depends on how long your current hair is,how, long your going.Longer hair means less hair since its sold by weight.

Lhd is right, hand tied is wefted already. There are two types of wefts, one being hand tied where each hair is individually hand sewn and makes a very small track. The machine wefts are where the hairs are all sewn by a machine, the tracks are generally a little bigger than the hand swen wefts. And the hair is sold weight, like Lhd said... so the width of the weft will vary depending on what length of hair you buy. Generally for 18 -22 inch  hair it usually takes 6-8 ounces average for a full head install.  The longer the hair the more it takes.

Did I understand that.. $15 for human hair? Honestly if you can buy human hair for that cheap it probably will NOT be a good quality hair. Id stay away from any human hair for $15

Thanks for everything! That clears alot of things up....

maybe your right, maybe I should stay away from the cheeper stuff, but I really don't have the cash to go all out. I wanted to buy one of those kits off ebay, but I've heard horror stories about them too...Theres just no winning for me is there?!?

h*d...if you are on a really fixed budget you may want to consider plastikhaar or a thermal fiber synthetic like wawa brand. I havent worn platikhaar but it gets good reviews. And the wawa you can get from vixenwigs on ebay. 2 wefts & shipping runs about 25 bucks...I did a detailed post on the wawa install that I done and updated it throughout the entire wear time, it should only be back a few pages or if you do a search it showed come up.
