Does anyone know of a non-silicone leave in treatment that I could get from a drugstore or Walmart? I don't want any haircare with silicone in it.

Infusium is full of silicone and it doesn't really heal your hair, fake advertising.

Nothing you put on your hair will actually heal it.  It can smooth and condition your hair, make it look healthier, but any damage that's done to your hair is there for good.  The only way to get rid of it is to cut off the damaged parts.

Giovanni Direct Leave-in gets five smiley faces from me!      I just LOVE this stuff. Our grocer's has it in the organic beauty section near the Avalon stuff. Maybe yours does?

Something that works well for me is taking a small amount of aloe vera gel and mixing it with a drop or two of jojoba or coconut oil .

Will just aloe vera gel work? I've never used it before and I'm thinking of using it for my hair and daily skin moisturizer.

I have never tried using it alone but I am pretty sure it would work.  On the bottle I own it says you can use it as a hair gel but it acts more like a leave in conditioner.  I really like it though, you don't need a lot and it makes my hair feel really nice.  I would try to get one that is 100% aloe vera gel without any dyes, fragrance, etc.  And if you don't like it in your hair at least you can still use it on your skin.
